Our First Night: A Family Braai
We’re staying with Dave and Ali (my mom’s younger sister) for the first week of our stay in S.A. They have just built a new home in the hills of D’Urbanvale, surrounded by Vineyards, and it is just breathtaking.Our first night (Monday), we had a family get-together. There was Ali & Dave, Jen & Merv, Rob & Willy, Rikki, Carla & Kelly, and baby Em!
It also happened to be Joe’s very first braai – he proudly posed for a braai photo, [true] beer in hand!
It was a wonderful night of reunion, introduction and celebration. While we were absolutely exhausted – the excitement was thrilling!

Hi to my blessed friends! What a surprise to hear from you when I returned from my annual holiday travelling through beautiful Namibia - I even saw lots and lots of giraffes (don't get jealous, Joe!!)as well as elephants, springboks, oryx, koedoes,dik-dik, rhino's, crocodiles, cheetahs, leopard, cerval cats, lions,eland, hartebeest, ostriches, etc. etc. The sunsets here were just as magnificent and the beautiful landscapes...!Well, jou'll have to see all the lovely pictures!
